- where we can get a nice tan.
- somewhere which is hot, but not too hot, 24-30 degrees.
- we are going early summer holidays
- dates around 14-27th july.
- somewhere where theres opportunity for scuba diving/snorkelling

thats pretty much it.. might be a few other but theyre the main!
dont really want to go to USA, somewhere on an island would be good!
we've been to spain italy florida madeira and a few other places so not them!
also preferably somewhere we dont need jabs!

Hi and welcome to my blog, I have always loved to travel and there are certain types of holiday that I prefer. One of my favourite types of holiday is a relaxing on a beach on an island with beautiful white sands and a sparkling turquoise sea. But I also like holidays in big cities like London or New York, I have always wanted to go to New York and go site seeing to places like the statue of liberty and central park, it would be amazing. But my main reason of going to New York is all of the fantastic shopping, it is my dream.
Paragraph Two
Last summer I went to the small island of Mauritius for two weeks with all of my family for my Aunties wedding. Mauritius is a very pretty place off the coast of Madagascar, full of exotic wildlife and stunning beaches. I stayed on the south west coast in a hotel right on the beach where there was a huge green mountain behind us. The island was very vibrant and animals were always around especially crabs, at night there were hundreds on the beaches. It was a hive of activity but at the same time it was calm and tranquil, it was the ideal place for a relaxing holiday.
Paragraph Three
We had to go by plane to get to Mauritius and luckily for us there were no stop over’s on the way, it was a direct flight. On the plane there was a wide variety of films which I enjoyed watching for most of the journey; also we ate three meals as it was a 14 hour flight they were quite nice for plane food. Most people fell asleep but I didn’t, instead I continued to watch the films. Overall it was a calm flight with a smooth take off and landing, about halfway there was a bit of turbulence but it was nothing to worry about. I love flying.
Paragraph Four
We stayed in a very posh hotel, called the paradis hotel and golf club and the quality of everything was really worth the money. For example the hotel had lots of separate villas all along the beach, we stayed in one quite far from the hotel so they gave us a golf buggy it was so much fun. The hotel also had five restaurants, two pools, a private beach and a spa, it was all very luxurious. On arrival they gave us complimentary hot towels and cocktails which were nice after a long flight. I heared that the golf course was great as well but I didn’t play any golf, I find it very boring.
Paragraph Five
Every day was different because there were just so many different and new things to do. On a typical day, I woke up at 9 and walked along the beach to breakfast, breakfast was incredible there was everything you could ever want to eat. After breakfast it was already hot, so I went swimming in the pool and the sunbathed before lunch. Usually after lunch we went and tried out an activity, over the holiday we went waterskiing, we went snorkelling, we had a boat ride, we climbed a mountain and we went scuba diving. It was all so exciting and a bit tiring, so after that I normally ate dinner and then went back to bed.
Paragraph Six
Next year I really want to go to America as I have never been before, I would like to go to New York as it is so different to my last holiday. New York has always been my dream holiday and I would love to see all of the sites and experience their culture. Also I would go shopping in all of the famous shops like Macy’s and Bloomingdales but I would have to save up a lot of money first. I would like to go in the winter so that we could go ice skating at the Rockefeller centre and see the giant Christmas tree. Also in the winter I would shop in all of the New Year’s sales. It would be remarkable.

I am going to Sharm next week with my girlfriend we are both 18 and don't really know what to expect. I am staying in the Sunrise Aqua Park has anyone been before? I wad thinking to take about £250 each would this be enough?

We are staying all inclusive so all our drinks and food will be paid for. How much egyptian pounds should I be taking out there. I was thinking maybe £250? How hot is it out there? How much are the trips (scuba diving, quad biking etc). Are there any places to avoid going? Is there much to buy out there?

We are 2 girls (19 & 20) planning our summer trip in august/early september...

Where's the best place to go?
(We have about a week, depending on cost of living)

We're looking for sun, great beaches & good nightlife.
We also love shopping - less designer, more markets & clothing
I would like somewhere with good food - as in, not just fastfood & takeout

My friend wants to go to Ibiza...
I have a few concerns...
1) expense
2) Would it be loads safer to go as a big group rather than just the 2 of us?
3) Are the beaches nice or too spoilt by all the tourists?
4) What does Ibiza have to offer other than nightlife and beaches?

I'm currently voting for Marrakesh...
any info on this place would be great, my friend is being put off as it's not beachy
If it's any help, my most favourite place is thailand, for the nightlife, cuisine & the scuba diving

Any suggestions would be lovely, as we've left it a bit late!

im going abroad by myself for the first time. i live in england and i will be flying out to south america to do volunteer work and scuba diving around reefs. im a little worried as its a hell of a long way to go by yourself for the first experiance abroad! i have NO experiance using airports, i may have to catch 2 planes, i will spend 5 weeks in south america with a volunteer team and will some how have to make my way home when my time is up. im scared of loosing my passport or getting lost in mexico not being able to speak the language and be completely in the ****!

My partner and I want to go somewhere in the caribbean this June, only problem being most of the places state that weather in June is terrible, heavy rain/stormy season etc. We want to go somewhere more exotic, and further afield has anyone been to Caribbean in June, and had good weather, if so where?

Or if not does anyone have any suggestions where to go as an alternative? We are not bothered about Europe with the Euro being so expensive etc we just want a good all inclusive holiday with the option for scuba diving / watersports etc

we were thinking of going to aruba for an all inclusive week, then on a 3 day cruise around the bahamas, then a few days in florida before home to ireland. BUT.... we hear its hurricane season..........................so we thought an all inclusive week in either Mauritius or the maldives then a week (ish) on a safari in south africa....BUT ..then we hear its winter there!!!!!!!!!! HELP! ................................... we don't want to sit on a beach for a whole week, we want some activities to do, ........... open to loads of ideas. ....... -fishing/scuba diving/day trips/boat trip/local things to do.. anything! ...................... According to an article i read the other day, sales of scuba diving suits have risen a hundredfold, they are being sold in Tesco's, though why i have no idea? The advert on TV shows Martin Clunes wearing snorkle, suit and flippers and the sales for these items have gone through the roof. The same happened apparently when Jamie Oliver the chef was using nutmeg in his cooking, on his shows and in days all the shops had sold out. Does it work, i find most ads intensely irritating and switch off or over. What do you reckon, any ones that have influenced you into buying the product.
shows how closely i was watching, i actually thought it was an ad for Argos.
When i see a really irritating ads i want to throw a brick through the screen, worse ones like 118 118, most car ads, and of course all the ones that the damn BBC do to plug their programmes.

well i am an artist i paint and sketch.
im a bgirl ii love dancing. also i am really flexible.
i am a graffiti artist.
i write raps.
i compose music on piano.
i play flamenco guitar.

my dream is to have enough money just to get my parents enough to stay alive and my bros and sisters too, and then i want to use the rest of my money to travel the entire world and go scuba diving and flying in hot air balloons and sunbathing on a beach in the caribbean and stuff. i really just want to get out there and live to the full.

im nearly 16. i tend to get really seriuous about things. i sumtimes paint for like 5 hours a day then i go out for the night and break all night. and stuff. i love to just practise and practise things and get as good as i can.

i just dont know how i can get a job with these talents. are they all useless.
i love painting but that wont get me rich will it.
oh then i want to give the rest of the money to charity.

I'm going to graduate soon with a degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineer (with either first or second class honours), and am a little stressed that I haven't made the most of my so called 'uni life' because of the incredible workload that is associated with this degree. I travel and hang out with friends a lot during the semester breaks, which is great, but I always hear from old friends doing Commerce/Business degrees who are able to party all the time and do much less work/study.

My question - when I graduate I plan to work in the oil industry (hopefully Chevron Corporation), average starting salary for graduate in my locale is ~AU$80,000 - will I still be able to have a fruitful and fun social life (weekends/evenings), or does that pretty much end after uni?? I'm hoping that having a neat bit of disposable income might make some hobbies I've been dreaming of for ages easier to attain (motorcycles/scuba diving).

Were both pretty clueless as we have only been abroad when we were younger. Were thinking of going around end of june r beginning of july. Me and my boyfriend want too go too one of the above places but have never been too any of them ourselves. We are going July-Aug time.

We will proberly go out and see the nightlife for one of the nights. We want somewhere hot, nice beach, not too British. We also want too be able too do scuba diving or something similar like an experience we havent done before. One too remember.

We will also be self catering so that we can eat in different places, so nice food would be good.

When I was a Christian I felt that awe and feeling of being loved and in tune with the meaning of life. However I then became atheist when I grew up and read more widely and have since experienced that same feeling when taking ecstacy and when reaching the top of a mountain and looking down on the world and when scuba diving a coral reef.

This is a common human reaction to the sublime which can be brought about by religious fervour but also any awe inspiring experience. I would love to hear other atheists experience of that feeling because the theists really do believe its their domain.
